Yep Deb, I'm still lurking...:) Got my yellow card today as well. Didn't get home til this evening 7:00 pm EST, but, still placed the call anyway. Male voice asked me if I could "hold" and I obliged. Minute or two later a female identifies herself and asks for my name and phone number- again I oblige. She states that they are extremely busy. After hanging up, I realize that she never asked for my share count. I called back immediately and again placed on hold (with my consent). This time a male voice asks me if I had received a yellow card . I give the affirmative and quickly explain who I am and that I just called but wasn't asked for a tally of my shares. He stated: "Nope...we are swamped right now. We are going to contact everyone within 24 hours and answer any and all questions you may have." I do find this scenario intriguing to say the least. I have been involved with numerous proxies in the past, but, nothing compares to this <g>. I noticed first off, that the card was addressed in the same format and manner as placed at my broker and not my "usual" mailing address which confirms that they have indeed pulled an investor list from the TA logs. Not that that in and of itself is odd, but, I was under the impression that the shareholder book-keeping (as stated by the original TA) was supposedly in such disarray that this wouldn't have been possible. On the other hand, maybe that's why they are doing it this way- to confirm actual shareholders? Who knows. I also find it interesting that they would state that they will answer, and I quote again "any and all questions you may have within 24 hours." In fact, when I told them I would be working a 12 hour shift tomorrow, they pushed for an additional contact number. Impression? First off, QBID proxies have not been tallied yet. Regardless of which state governs the merger, SEC rules state that companies abide in a "quiet" period during the process. How can they answer questions if QBID hasn't decided yet.......or have they? Perhaps the majority vote is already known to the company principals and it's already time for part two?? In any event, I'm stranded at work tomorrow, so I won't know any more until then than I do now. (Except I'm going to try and glean some info from RB right now before hitting the hay) Hopefully, it will come together real soon. If it's true that they will answer any questions, it ought to be REAL interesting here on SI and RB tomorrow and tomorrow night...<gg> Theo;-)
