I was telling the kids on the PHCM thread that are short that they should learn to short on a trend, and short big stocks like IBM a few weeks ago, you know turn the chart upside down <g>, instead of the next big think like PHCM is. The above applies to QCOM some what, just too much at stake to play games trying to intellectualize the movement in the stock.

I want to add a little to how I like to short. Just as with going long there needs to be a reason, a story, news that comes out to start the ball rolling. Vol. is the indicator of a pending story or one that has been released. A failed retest of the high after a stock begins to fail is good place to enter into a short, and big stocks like IBM present it to you in a timely fashion instead of whipping you around like small stock like PHCM.
