<would like to see SUNW get taken out>

From a technical or momentum perspective this may be necessary. But I think (and believe I said in a post within the last few weeks) that SUNW is eating IBM's (among others') lunch in the internet server area. The big growth area of the box business.

So while SUNW may be getting hit a little today in sympathy, I see it more as evidence of the shift in power. Away form the IBMs and other DOW companies and towards QCOM, SUNW, maybe JDSU, etc., etc.

It is similar to what is happening in the economy as a whole. We are getting rolling recessions/corrections in industries, not economy-wide recessions. Per Kudlow, it is the Schumpeter (sic) model in action (do I have this correct?).
