You are either very naive or believe everything that mommy told you. The recognition that the gold market has been overtly manipulated by a consortium of cb's, bullion banks, and confederate producers is almost universally accepted. True each one of them have separate goals for limiting the true equilibrium price of gold, but to say that bullion banks haven't pressured the producers to sell a larger than wise portion of their reserves with the blessing of the central banks who provided the leased gold is ridiculous. A more valid argument might be the motivations behind the selling.
