wbm -
Your post assumes you are THE expert -get real fellow -get humble-
I hope I did not give that impression - I am hardly the expert, and part of my post was pointing out that my overconfidence in my own analysis cost me a lot this year.

Many on this thread know far more than I do about the underlying reality of DELL's business. Just yesterday I got a PM from someone at DELL who actually knew the details of DELL's DRAM purchasing over the last 5 years, which cleared up some of my misconceptions in that regard.

if you personally arn't happy then quit blowing air and sell the SOB
You can be sure that if I lose confidence in DELL, I will sell. As I have said a number of times, I believe that DELL is one of the best managed companies in the business, and I have confidence that next year will be better than this year in terms of stock price appreciation. But I felt that way about CPQ in fall of 1998.

probaly will be a 50 billion revenue company by 2003
I think DELL will likely get close to $40B by 2003, and could hit $50B - as long as they put substance behind the promises, something they have been good at doing in the past.

Do you really have absolutely no concerns about any of the issues I have raised?

RE:I do enjoy reading everyone's post-but I get a bit iritated when the "crowd' starts examining their navels-- as the "boomers" have been prone to do over the past twenty years-I ,personally am not a fad guy-- I didn't buy the running fad or the cell phone fad-"knee opeations and cancer"-RE: DELL--Keep ypour eye on the "big pic"-man it's terrific --- Dell will shape up one of these days, they now own that sector.Hope I'm right, tpugh to talk this way after gassing some big profits.Best wbm-PS:Gerstner is a real wimp-blaming his flawed and mismanaged company on the Y2K bit.The new "Asia" excuse.
