Your hip should be just fine if you lay the phone on your car seat. All that should happen then is it will burn a hole in your car seat. To think radiation should be ignored is naive. Any improvement on emissions in handsets should be afforded to the consumer. Did you ever wonder why the x-ray technician leaves the room while taking your x-rays ? For years Dental x-rays were given at a much higher emission than todays standards. Also today they seem to think it's better to cover you with a lead blanket. If I were a cellular user I would welcome interest of the medical field and not make fun out of it. I also remember as a young man going into the shoe store and trying on shoes and then sticking your feet into an x-ray machine to see how they fit. You could see the bones in your feet and judge how much room you had for your toes. Needless to say those machines didn't last to long. I wouldn't have wanted to be the salesman because he viewed every sale.
