MO's case is very particular. It's valuation excluding the legal woes is cheap by any historical measure so it doesn't say much about the macro market picture to me. What is does tell me is that most people believe the money grubbing plantiff lawyers and their "It's someone elses' fault I choose to do bad things to myself" plantiffs are going to BK the industry.

Yeah... it's an omen of what can happen with runaway government. I only hope MSFT fares better than the tobacco companies.
BTW-- I don't smoke and can't stand the smell of others doing it around me. But between the government and the lawyers I'll be surprised if we have a country to hand off to our children. Matt
