Just get the analog phones for the folks you aren't too fond of as a present...

Perhaps now the carriers will allow a setting which does "force digital ALWAYS" in the setup menus. they don;t allow this now, so you cannot tell when your getting ready to talk if the phone suddenly hands off to analog or not. In analog, you have a continuos wave at 700mW max power and in digital you have a spread spectrum wave at 200mW max power. I would ratehr always force digital and have always the lower power.
