David, If this is a competing product, then just what is our partnership with Infineon as noted in the Annual Report? It seems to me Identix needs to explain this. I think this will be one of the questions I will ask at the Annual Meeting.

The Infineon announcement this morning is very welcome news, because it shows that IDX has become very well positioned in the biometrics market. By signing up a major silicon manufacturer to use BioLogon, Identix is establishing an even broader presence in the software space. The earlier IDX can occupy this spot, the better.

I still don't believe in silicon, but I do believe in software. Siemens is every bit as credible as Veridicom, if not more so, and this is a major endorsement for IDX. Someone on Yahoo posted that "Fingertip" will be on a card next year . . . and that could be the best application we could think of, at least until the DFR- series gets as thin as a smart card. (I want to see that link, and the description of the biometric silicon reader on the card, though, to understand whether it has any advantages.)

I expect to see some reaction in the stock price today, if anyone is paying attention. If not great news, it is certainly very good news.
