"I do not believe God created us with this condition did He? Satan is the cause of the separation, not God. " -Then God would have only condemned Satan. Because they chose... this ability to choose wrongly is what is the basis for sin. If we could not choose it would not be sin. In this arguement I also find a few enlightening points: 1. satan tempted(and that was his sin), but man failed(and that was his sin). 2. satan and man were both made by God with certain conditions which they chose to use selfishly and not for God's purpose. 3. the cause of the separation is not God, nor satan. It is our choice which one we serve. 4. as christians we can choose to do good or choose to do evil. for we are ultimately responsible and must answer for our individual sins. The sin we all have is recognized in the curse which God has placed upon all man, not just Adam. The condition that we are born with is still present in every one of us, and was in Christ. However, by the grace of the Holy Spirit evil was overcome in Christ and that is how He was born both man and Savior. to just say satan is the reason I sin is a cop out... an old one at that. man chose (albiet a fairly unknowledgable choice as he did not know what the difference between good and evil was as of yet) his own separation. Here's a quote (if you're into those) to support my belief: NIV Gen 2:12-19 (less than more) And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?" The man said, "The woman you put here with me--she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it." Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, "Cursed are you... To the woman he said , "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you." To Adam he said , "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, `You must not eat of it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.... for dust you are and to dust you will return. " -maouse ps. He presumably curses the ground because it bore the fruit, but this is a fairly large presumption... (and I'd note that He made it too)
