One thing that I have found interesting over the years is that various former dissidents seem to blame Yeltsin for the destruction of the Soviet Union, too. I suppose any situation yields a range of opinion.....

JBE, hey the point is that Yugoslavia (Serbia) has much stronger claim on Kosovo than Russia on Caucauses....More a level of brutality in Chechnia far exceed that of Kosovo...Did you hear any rhetoric from Blair, Clinton and Co?

A missile attack on a maternity hospital and a market in the centre of the Chechen capital, Grozny, has left dozens dead and wounded.

A Chechen official is reported as saying 118 are dead and up to 400 wounded.
