I'm not exactly sure what you're asking me.

There are frequently no calls if there's
a bet and no one wants to call it.

If you check, everyone else can check and get
the next card.

If you check and then no one bets, you don't get to raise.
It's a calculated risk, but sometimes worthwhile.
I did that with my straight flush, cause my opponent
appeared to have a full house.(he did)
