How much more? W/o any studies (private, if you prefer) all we can do is guess!

I pay 1.40'ish for gas here, and I have paid that in the mid 90's. Compared to last year's gasoline price drops it is a big increase, but not historically. And the winter here was horrible in 1995!

I do not understand what Y2K has to do with inflation, but that is an one-off thing which will soon be over anyway. It's no OPEC, not even close.

In my industry (enterprise software) we are just learning to leverage the internet. Huge productivity gains ahead in that front.

Indeed, things can go wrong. But, I have heard from the bond bears that the economy is showing no signs of slowing down. Are we seeing the mirror image of stagflation here?
