Thanks! Now I will comment: I didn't have the time to hunt for instances of prayer, but I did find where Christ ordains the Eucharist and participates in hymn singing; where he charges the Apostles to evangelize and heal in his name, and the Apostles are expressly named; where he admonishes his disciples to let their light shine for all men, in apparent contradiction of other texts that said hide one's good deeds, making it clear enough that the intent is of primary importance (glorifying oneself vs. glorifying God); and where those Apostles lead the community in prayer....I figure that should do for today....
