Doug, actually, the options will likely be re-priced. This is good for the employees, but eventually, even more dilutive to the shareholders.

average tends towards ever increasing mediocrity.

Something you'd know about, to be sure.

You and Serge and Larry go away for months at a time and like buzzards on carrion return when the stock heads down.

Newbridge employees are among the brightest and most talented people I've met in my life. They also have something you may need your dictionary to understand: class.

The technology this company has developed has been bought by over 350 carriers around the globe including British Telecom, France Telecom, Deutsche Telecom, SBC, Bell Atlantic, AT&T, Global One and Williams. Besides being the ATM leader, they're fast making a name for themselves in LMDS, DSL and IP/ATM gigabit switching. The turnaround has been difficult. You don't undo a UBNet fiasco overnight. But the hardest work's been done: new management team, restructured marketing, refocused sales, revamped operations, new product lines including new alliances and partnerships.

You sit on the sides taking potshots at an organization you have no way of comprehending. Have you visited their headquarters? Have you spoken with Terry or Alan or Brian or Satjiv? Have you listened to presentations by any of the marketing or sales personnel? Have you talked to any of their customers? Have you looked at sales projections for the markets they're addressing? Have you contacted the company to ask about the current weakness? Do you know the options involved in the STII closure? Do you know how orders are tracking for the quarter? What about Book to bill so far?

If you have something constructive to add to the debate, please do. But for God's sake, stop the inane comments that have no basis in fact.
