HOOVER'S ONLINE AND GOMEZ ADVISORS ANNOUNCE CONTENT
ALLIANCE; LEADING BUSINESS WEB SITE TO PROVIDE GOMEZ
INTERNET BROKER SCORECARDS

AUSTIN, Texas and LINCOLN, Mass., Oct 21, 1999 /PRNewswire via
COMTEX/ -- Hoover's, Inc. (Nasdaq: HOOV), publisher of Hoover's Online:
The Business Network (http://www.hoovers.com), a leading Web-based
provider of business information, today announced a content alliance
with Gomez Advisors, a leading provider of e-commerce research and
analysis.

As part of the agreement, Hoover's Online provides the most recent
Gomez Advisors Internet Broker Scorecard and a link to Gomez.com in the
Stocks section of the Hoover's Online Money channel. Gomez Advisors
produces "Scorecards" to track and rank the performance and quality of
online service offerings for a broad range of e-commerce industries,
including brokers.

According to Gomez Advisors President and CEO Julio Gomez, "Our
alliance with Hoover's gives us a highly visible opportunity to offer
comprehensive information and analysis to consumers who are scrambling
for information on Internet brokers. Our expertise, combined with
Hoover's reach and focus, is a winning combination."

"Anyone can set up shop on the Web. As a result, there's a lot of
misinformation and poor customer service out there," Patrick Spain,
Hoover's CEO, said. "The Gomez Internet Broker Scorecard gives our
audience valuable information about brokers that have a proven track
record, and because Hoover's visitors demand high-quality information
and customer service they can rely on, we feel this is an enhancement
they'll appreciate."

Auric - your statements regarding the legal issues of filing 144's is again wrong -- if non-insiders who file 144's don't sell within 90 days after the filing, they must refile a 144 before they can sell those shares - they do NOT have to file the 144 to report that they didn't sell, nor do they file a form 4 to report that they did. BTW - there are several multiple filings shown on your list (and I happen to know at least three 144 filers who took it upon themselves to e-mail me after one of your many misleading posts on the subject to tell me that they have never sold after they filed -- they just wanted the ability to be to trade dynamically).
