Volumes are back !

By looking at how trading volumes are trending this month I think there is reason to be very, very optimistic.
If we just take a look at DJIA trading volumes (as good a measure as any other) for the last three quarters
and compare it to the quarter we just started:

1Q CY99 (Jan-Mar): 85,800,866
2Q CY99 (Apr-Jun): 90,580,371 average daily volume (this was the "big" quarter of the year, remember ?)
3Q CY99 (Jul-Sep): 81,932,861 average daily volume (summer slump)
4Q CY99 (Oct1-Oct21): 104,048,967 average daily volume !!!

If this continues to go on like this I would expect the same people that were trashing OLBs the last few months,
because of the low volumes, to come back and tell us how great this quarter is turning out to be. Unless, that is,
those same individuals are not as interested in reporting the good news about the OLB sector as they are in
reporting the bad ones ...

Ramon.
PS: I downloaded the daily volumes (Jan1-Oct21) from The Pulse. Feel free to double check my numbers.

for me selling was the best option. I had tenants that hadn't paid the rent for many months.

Here's a graph for the total NYSE volumes for the year:

The jump between the 3rd and 4th quarter (yellow line) is spectacular although, I guess, in line with what everybody knows to be the seasonal character of the stock market.

I don't see the downside to this stock ... unless Costakos quits or something wild happens ...

Ramon.
