Yes, being called an asset in a big, I mean BIG, sit like that, is incredible. It is really what counts. That and "proper assertiveness."

For some reason, I was a hit with the lawyers at that summer reunion. And jeez, they thought I was wonderful. Like one of them. They singled me out in front of the whole dinner crowd of sixty two or whatever, to re-tell the jokes I told em earlier. You know that caricature of the legal senior eagle putting his arm around the younger associate? JUST LIKE THAT.

And there was our little 87 Tercel, with all the lines of Special Editions.

Of course, you get sixty two faces, a hundred and twenty four eyes, and seven hundred teeth facing Paul, and he's not going to say anything.

Maybe it was cuz I went and sat at their table, instead of with the freaks (you know, Dash and MJ), and started right in.

I wonder if you look like it's going to come from you. Do you know? Can you tell?

Because sometimes it seems to be the incongruity that catches them off guard, for me. I don't look like I know anything. Besides being in flannel for formal wear. I mean, it's almost funny, looking at myself in the mirror. It's a real Bozo quality. Literally. Like Steven Wright.

But I get picked up on quick sometimes, and other times, well, ugh.

So I try to stay home, where I am always witty and appropriate.
