I called AmeriTrade about whether they would do a Buy-Write. They emailed back a couple of inane responses that made me wonder if knew what a BuyWrite actually was. I did get the sense tho that you could phone in a BuyWrite. However I'm sure that unlike the old days...you can't do a BuyWrite, and get the stock at Ask, AND the Bid at Ask...so it may be a moot point.

I pulled some confirmations from A Trade....don't know their schedule for commissions, but:
bought 4 put contracts....$29
sold 8 CC's....$35.10
sold 20 CC's...54
bought 12 calls $41.40
sold 10 calls......$38.25
bought back 10 calls $38.25
bought 20 long calls.....$54

Don't know what this formula is...but it looks like $38 for 10 option contracts, and $54 for 20 contracts
maybe $38 for 10, and $1.70/contract over that?

There's one thing, tho...somehow they don't nearly give the fills that Dreyfus does. Dreyfus is rapid/lightning fast, and often fill when I split the bid/ask....and sometimes give me a BETTER price than the limit price I put on.

I have a feeling that Dreyfus somehow is able to shop the various option exchanges before placing the trade...and I know for a fact that Atrade either randomizes which one they send it to( they told me this)....OR,as I suspect, they send it to the exchange they have the best deal with

With Dreyfus
bought 5 calls.....$15
sold 10 calls.....$17.50
I believe their schedule is $17.50 for 10 (minimum is $17.50) and $1.75/contract after that
