What is your rationale for holding rather than protecting yourself from further loss (HOPING to get your money back doesn't count)?

Are you concerned that it has just broken a major 2 year support level on high volume just before earnings announcement in a time when the company is doing very badly in the market place, in an industry that is currently getting squeezed by price competition? Not to mention that CPQ has the least competitive distribution channel of all its peers. Or that the only part of its business experiencing strong demand is the ProLiant server range, where customers are generally waiting for kit because CPQ can't deliver due to component shortages, and where they can deliver, they are having to reduce their margins to the point that next week's earnings will not need the analysts to put a negative spin on anything.
