Flowering crabs are really, really, beautiful. Here, anyway. I haven't seen them elsewhere. At the peak of their flower they are almost psychedelic. Or totally psychedelic; whatever. Nice size too.

Yes,... the prunus family... cherries and plums... wild cherries and chokecherries.. The wilted leaves are poisonous to goats and other livestock... (there's a little 'goat trivia' for you).
