Jock, I personally like your verbatim reports much much better. By providing just a summary, I always tend to hear just what I was looking for. But with a verbatim summary, other people with other areas of expertise can commend on the areas that I know nothing about.

I was so surprised that not only Wilf but also a lot of the analysts seems to be really harped on the capacity issue. Perhaps the analysts are seeing a big shortage coming and rightly so are preparing to push LSI base on their capacity alone, not to mention their right products at the right time.

I look forward to LSI moving up from here based on both expanding earnings and also from expanding PEs to closer match some of the premium guys.

With the success of more 'std' products in many diverse areas to product the earnings, I think the benefit of this Coreware strategy will be more apparent to the analysts over the next two Qs nd they in turn will pump the stock more.

E.g. next Q LSI may earn $0.50 vs TXN's $0.53 this Q. TXN is at $80 and LSI is at $50. I look for that gap to narrow by LSI moving up. Same for ADI. Stock prices the same but LSI earnings much higher. I look for LSI to differentiate itself from ADI by the stock price moving higher than ADI.

A couple of other things...

They mentioned that the design wins for the CDMA chip were shipping now in production, and they were going to announce the companies who were using those chips "soon"...

Gresham at 90%+ utilization, and they expect to see similar utilization going forward even as they add capacity. Gresham capacity being added modularly, with 50% still available for the future...

Q3 seasonality didn't really show up this year...

Gross margins could hit 45% next year...

Eli was almost stumbling over himself to stress how great their Digital and terrestrial set top boxes were doing...
