TOTALLY OFF TOPIC... NON-C-CUBE

To anyone who trades options.

I have noticed that every time IBM announces earnings, they invariably move up or down the next day an average of 10-15 pts... today being an exception in that IBM fell an entire 23 points after their earnings report...

But for some time, I have thought that I should be able to make some (not a lot, just some) money by trading options in some way... maybe selling calls and buying the stock, or something like that... or buying puts and calls, etc...

But in any case, today I came to the realization that I just don't know how to go about this. I mean strategy wise.

But if any of you care to input, please reply... there's got to be a relatively safe way to make some money off 15% moves the exact day after IBM earnings, 4 x per year.

Thanks for your thoughts...

John

ps- sorry for putting this on the CUBE board... but this happens to be the only board I read, and there's no active options board.
