Dav, One of these days some disgruntled shareholder is going to attend one of the stock holders meeting and ask for a motion to dismiss a ceo who has committed some outrageous or unethical act resulting in the debacle of their stock. The shareholder will not have to proove that he or she is just upset but the burden of proof will be on the ceo. I predict it will happen and the other attending shareholders will support the action to remove an inappropriate CEO.IBM reported earnings in line with estimates. It was not necessary for Gerstner to rattle the stock and the financial world with his doom and gloom forecast. Is he going to fore go his salary until the stock price improoves?? I don't think so. I think any IBM shareholder right now will agree with me. If one is not a shareholder they may be a little indifferent but what happened at IBM can happen anywhere.
