Can you or anyone tell me if this discovery is likely to spawn any area plays ?? Are there any companies who own adjoining properties to this location ??

Hi RWILL. Just like to pass on a bit of info re. Inco and Totten Mine. In the Inco news release it stated..." Inco (N:TSE,ME) discovered a new area of mineralisation at its Totten
copper/nickel/palladium/platinum mine in Ontario, which ceased
production in 1970 and has been on stand-by since.".....

....." southern extensions. The zone is accessible from the mine's existing
1400 m shaft situated between 100 m and 300 m north of the zone. (Oct
19/99)"....

This mine would not be considered on stand by. It is flooded and has been capped since 1970. It was not an intentional flooding. This mine is located about 3 or 4 miles as the crow flies from INCO's operating Crean Hill Mine.
Totten mine is located about 400 ft. from a river. This area is the location of one of Inco's first mines the Victoria Mine which I think was in operation around the late 1800's. Drilling has been going on by INCO in this area for the last 12 years that I know of and I think INCO has most of the land to the east in this area tied up. To the west is Agnew Lake I think about 10 to 15 miles and I believe I read on this thread that some exploration is ongoing in that area now. Don't know if any of this info is of any use to anyone
but thought I would pass it along.
Take care
Lorne
