That's great to see SI doing that levy - I'm so sick of getting SO many e-mails from stock touting sites that just list the tickers, with no revalent info other than to say: "It's gone up, we called it". So at least SI has joined in with the crowd...I won't mind theirs.

Instead on marketing their entire bundle of products, perhaps Go2net should focus on marketing/branding each of their individual properties with a "part of the Go2net family of sites" at the end. GNET has a number of sites that many use for different reasons. As stated earlier many use metacrawler, but have no idea that it is owned by GNET. That is fine with me as long as they continue to use it. I think that as we grow our focus will need to be more narrow as to marketing the individual sites to different demographic groups. Phillip Morris owns Miller beer among many other companies. Same for Beatrice etc. The ads you see push the products and not the companies. As GNET aquires a number of varied entities their marketing will need to change from branding of a "portal" to branding of each individual successful site.
