GG.

I have done some querying my self for the last few days.
The response is very similar.

My only personal experience so far was one afternoon in my own garden playing with the Motorola phone.
The house is well situated with no high buildings or big trees around.
Voice quality was fluctuating, calls dropped, wait for signal, long connecting time and more problems.

If any of your writing is true it matches my findings.

If G* is better, not to mention much better, we need no
further discussion.

G* does not have a fundamental flaw!

Have a nice weekend,

Thomas L

Geoff, when I read reports such as yours on how dismal Iridium's performance is along with statements like I was ready to buy if it only worked, I have got to believe that Globalstar will be a huge success if it works, and by most counts, it does. I would love to give one a test drive. If Lor had made me wealthy enough to have been able to go to Geneva but it didn't (that's another story), I would have been there. If anyone has a G* phone and wants to call me, I will be happy to give them my number and you can call collect!

I know we have bashed Jim Cramer here but can you imagine perhaps what would have happened had he been dashing over the tarmac with his call connected as advertised allowing him to make the emergency transportation connection he was trying to do?

GG.

I received today a copy of the latest
Globalstar Magazine from a friend attending
Geneva Telecom.

Very interesting reading, sporting nice pictures of
Mr. Schwartz and Mr. Navarra. smiling happily.

Being Norwegian, I must say that the article about
maritime markets in this issue are excellent input for
those trying to figure out who the G* customers will be.

In Norway we have around 100K registered ships/boats,
fishing vessels, tankers, cruise ships and ocean liners.
Many have Inmarsat, but everyone would like to have something less costly and more private.

In the head counting dillema for G*, letïs count in
easy 300k users on sea world wide, then add 50k every year of operation, and we have 650,000 maritime users alone
for G*.

Now tell me, any idea how many in the oil industry?
