Good Morning Folks! Great article in Streetwire. I really like the thoroughness of the research. I know understand much more of the background behind this company. The following excerpt is the one that has really piqued my interest. I realize the some of you have already picked up on this, but what the heck, here it is again . . . >>Mr. Graham said that many shareholders were asking if the company would be making one large investment, or taking a series of smaller stakes in suitable companies. He was unable to answer that question, but did indicate that Jordex was actively looking at both options. He stated that, based on the "investment opportunities we've seen, we're more likely to do a Medsite type of deal," and added, "With the kind of cash we have, we could distribute that very nicely." Jordex appears to be concentrating its efforts on identifying companies that have yet to complete an initial public offering, and performing due diligence on the better opportunities.<< With Mr. Staudt's background and connections, I am sure that this will elevate JDX's visibility and it will attract more quality deals to them. The Softbank, CMGI, idealab!, and Internet Capital Group models have always intrigued me. This excerpt from you Wall Street Journal article also stands out prominently as well . . . >>Safeguard stepped into the limelight in August with the initial public offering of one of its investments, Internet Capital Group Inc. Safeguard was an early investor in ICG, which provides financing for Internet commerce companies. Its 14% interest in ICG, bought in two transactions for a total of $29 million, is currently valued at about $1.5 billion.<< One, just one good pick out of many can virtually transform a company's fortunes forever. All you really need is a good bank account, and a strong management team who is both well connected and experienced in assessing companies and their potential. Hmmm, what was Mr. Staudt's background again . . . <ggg> Crazy Canuk
