Richard - maybe I should have amended that to add "to such an extent that they want the price to fall" I could see a CB maybe entering the futures market to protect a loan position perhaps - but in these things I think you should look to the question of self interest - and it is not in the self interest of the CBs who have gold (not minnows like Canada who have none left - nearly none)for their largest reserve asset to fall in price.

Gata IMO have lost a lot of credibility following the 15 CBs announcement- and it has seriously narrowed the list of so called Hannibals.
