Don't worry about Al G. He is dead meat walking. Have you looked at his face on TV lately. He looks like a corpse. Something is eating him up alive. Maybe he thought he would be a shoo in and is now suddenly finding himself the butt of all the pent up anger against Clinton etc... His proposal to ban offshore drilling would drop US self sufficiency way down and shoot imports and prices way up. There would soon be howls and screams and shortages. This is the proposal of a desperate man. I would say unthinking man, but that is not Al Gores usual manner of speaking. I fell sorry for the guy actually. I would not walk in his shoes for all the votes in the world.
