Duker,

The Market does what the Market does.

You can say this again. Lam is my only stock in the red, with many up about 10%(CYMI, ASYT, EGLS)

The Rosenblatts and Scruggs'es of the world want to target the SemiCap, Semiconductor, and Software companies.

Why do you insist on scaring me so? Now I'm going to have trouble sleeping. I wish these people would crawl back under the rock from which they came.

OT: "Can a lawyer represent a primate? Why not, it can be easily argued that the primate, as well as the mollusk, are higher on the evolutionary ladder than the plaintiff attorney"

I heard on the news yesterday about the case of a man who killed a dog, who is being sued for several thousand dollars on behalf of the dog's owners' other pets, a cat and a rabbit, for the suffering caused to the cat and rabbit by the dog's death. As Dave Barry says, I'm not making this up!

Duker,

This may not be so far-fetched after all. Last night I saw a piece on CNN(?) where the CA attorney general is suing all keymakers in his state because of the lead content in keys(a lead content which is something 1/50th of that which is even considered somewhat questionable). Their argument was that some keys make it into the mouths of children and therefore this is a public health issue.

Seems as if those who live their lives recklessly get protection from the govt, while those out there taking risks and creating wealth, are taxed in more and more ways to support the mistakes of the former. The amazing thing to me is the sheer arrogance of the lawyers thinking that they can somehow repeal Darwin's Law with a few pieces of legislation.

Only in America!
