Looks to me that in the past two months the LSI of '99 has become the LSI of 94' 95 and early '96. For a NYSE stock it had one of the highest betas--2.20 by the measure in Value Line. Although, I have not mentioned this point recently, I have in the past referred to the fact that LSI has a small core group of trading fans who love the intense intra-day price swings. My guess is that this kind of ten percent daily price swing could last for years to come. As far as it being off today, I would remind those that it is up four to five points from the same time yesterday.
