Hi LHG,

<<I was thinking they would perf and just hold the gas and pressure in and then start flaring at a later time. Is that your understanding or do you expect a flare right away?>>

Yep. That's what they'll do. There will be a "short shut in period" immediately after they fire the gun(s) and that'll be their last "look it over" before the flow starts. If everything checks out, then some guy is going to walk very "bow legged" over to the wellhead and open a valve !!!

I'd expect a relatively short (a few hours) low rate "cleanup flow" followed by a shut in that would last perhaps twice the duration of the flow period. Then they'll start the actual "test". I posted what that flow shut in sequence would likely look like quite some time ago. Basicly, initial rates will be small and short. Shutins will probably follow each little flow period and they'll step up the rates over the first 3 days.

Their maximum flow will NOT exceed 50 MMCF/d and they'll flow\flare a little less than 300 MMCF during their test. (Almost a $1MM worth of gas !!!). The flow portion of the test will last about 1 week and it will be followed by a shutin of about two weeks while the transient pressures are monitored. That's going to be the interesting stuff, not the flare !!! But, the flare is "theatrical" and certainly will be "pretty awesome, dude" for anyone who has never seen such a spectacle.

Here's hoping you don't forget your film when you head by for a look see this weekend. You'll have an opportunity to grab some interesting "memories" to pass on to your children (along with that family fortune <gg>).

Have a very pleasant weekend.

Later,
