Dirt is interesting, but I think water takes the Blue Ribbon.

Consider:

1. It's the world's finest solvent. Water cleans nearly everything: dogs, cats, kids, clothes, cars, patios, dishes. .

2. Have a priest or pastor splash some on your head, and you've got a head start to heaven

3. You can play in it.

4. It's available in several forms: regular, frozen, rain, fog, mist, drizzle, mizzle (a Seattle specialty), hard, soft, sleet, snow, hail . . .

5. It makes great sounds: it sloshes, it laps, it gurgles, it even babbles!

6. It's sculpts. How about that Grand Canyon? A water masterpiece.

7. It's humble: it always assumes the lowest level

8. It's available everywhere (some patience may be required at certain locations though)

9. It coventures with sunshine to make beautiful rainbows.

10. You can make a million dollars off of it by telling people your water is better than their's, and charging them 2 bucks a bottle for the privilege to prove it to themselves.

11. It goes well with all kinds of food

I like water.
