Chris, First, go to the Philly Exchange web site and download their symbols and tutorial on currency options trading. That will save me a lot of time. phlx.com

I use all four of the Euro options from time to time, depending on price and volume. Generally, I have found the American, mid-month options, XEU, best, but not always. One of my main rules, go fairly far out in time, just doesn't happen here. One month out is where all the action is and you pay up gruesomely if you want to play elsewhere, so I don't.

An example of a recent trade was the Oct 104s, which I bought after taking profits on my Septs. I got them for $1.23 and sold them for $3.25 last week. Now, I am hoping for further weakness on Monday to get into some Nov 108s.

I don't always win with these, but I do seem to win more often than with stocks. However, the homeruns are not as great on any one trade due to the tight time factor.
