It is the #1 wireless technology in existence today with over 300MM users. It is the standard in Europe, Australia, and most parts of Asia and emerging markets. It is followed in usage by Analog and last by CDMA technology.

Some have argued that CDMA is superior and bankrupt Nextwave made a strong point on this score (CDMA was developed by Qualcom) As for the details of the technology, regrettably, He has no particular insights. He just believes that GSM is in place around the world and that the leading wireless companies are based in Europe and on GSM and therefore GSM companies will be in hot demand.
