These chips from Reliance COMPETE in the market place with Intel - Intel has nothing to do with their
quality.


I know Intel has nothing to do with their quality from a design or manufacturing point of view. I just happened to think of good old Microsoft's certification program where they verify a third party vendor's software with their OSs, etc. Wondering if Intel had a program where other vendors HW was shake-rattled and rolled against Intel's Micros. Does sound kind of far fetched. Of course, the other vendor will do extensive design verification against Intel HW at their place before shipping. Hope the Reliance parts work well. we don't need any more fiascos or finger pointing.
