Kevin "Albert's Mouthpiece" - Re: "If AMD had any sense they'd go out and buy themselves a motherboard manufacturer. "

In case you hadn't NOTICED, AMD is SELLING OFF divisions - Vantis, Communications - and is NOT in a position to BUY companies.

Do you want AMD to MISS their PAYROLL - or perhaps you want your STOCK diluted ????? !!!!

Remember the $600 - $800,000,000 NexGEN acquisition ?

How much profit has AMD made since that purchase ?

Paul

Kevin,

re:"mobos"

I am a stupid moron, but I would've thought maybe IBM and AMD could've bartered some mobos for some CPUs for the launch.
Guess not.

ASUS seems to be pushing their iNTEL relationship. That is probably what is getting pENANG pAUL upset: he called Intel and they wouldn't believe his report of ASUS mobos being sold in the US. iNTEL went to the ASUS website and couldn't verify pAUL's report.

sTAY tUNED!
