All I can say is that I bought AAPL at 21, and my broker told me the same thing. It dropped like a stone to 12. I felt incredibly stupid. But rather than jump ship, I decided a good company doesn't just die when its fundamentals are strong.
CPQ represents a company undergoing the same issues. I never claim to get in at the bottom, or leave at the top (although I have from time to time). But I do recognize value in markets that are seemingly disintegrating (similar to AAPL is my investment in ASPT - both paid 3X my investment....ASPT in 6 months, AAPL in 2 years)
CPQ is a similar company. If you are a trader, I don't know why you'd buy it. If you're investing...it's a unique opportunity.
