The market for cellular/wireless-PDA/phones is sizeable, some of the devices EDIG is enabling/manufacturing should capture a portion of this market. IMHO.

If VoiceTIMES excludes players like these:

Handhelds Push Voice

- Dragon Systems' NaturallySpeaking Mobile Organizer (below) records dictated messages.

- L&H's Voice Xpress Mobile Professional bundles speech recognition with Olympus DS-150 digital recorder.

- L&H also to offer voice control software for Windows CE.

Then doesn't VoiceTIMES end up just looking like they are trying to create a standard that is in favor of IBM's ViaVoice?

Have you noticed that nobody else in the industry is even talking about the specifications that were released?

When the SDMI released their specifications there were opinions coming from everywhere. It seems that nobody seems to care about the VoiceTIMES specifications except IBM and those vendors that already use ViaVoice.

Your opinion would be appreciated.
