With all the brouhaha going on, I just came across this posting now. Thanks. No matter how one feels on the subject, the article is worth reading and considering.

An interesting column. Mr. Armey is correct, I think, that it is fashionable to ridicule Evangelicals and, in some instances, conservative members of other denominations, especially conservative Catholics. Mr. Blow is, of course, correct that Christianity is supposed to bring a certain dissension into the world (I recently quoted the verse about setting brother against brother, for example). However, I am not so sure that it is therefore the case that Christians are supposed to never raise a protest, so I am uncertain of the point of the column.

You'd think Mr. Blow would have changed his name by the time he decided to write a column. Like Seymour Lipschitz, kinda undermines his authority.
