The stock price response to this latest news release probably reflects investor attitude towards Fonix the Company, not Fonix the Technology. Fonix the Company has a ridiculously large float and is profusely hemorrhaging cash, while obscenely over-compensating its officers. Even if Fonix the Technology turns out to be that elusive Holy Grail of speech recognition, Fonix the Company appears to be in no shape to bring it to commercial fruition. If the technology is that great, my bet would be on a company of substance acquiring Fonix the Technology at a bargain-basement price leaving people invested in Fonix the Company behind in the dust.
