Gopher, I wonder if AMD will make a release...1/2 hour before Intel's? or at the same time?
I too expect AMD to have a hole card to beat Intel with, a real one they can ship, as Intel will be shipping(has been shipping into makers warehouses for a while now) when they release.

You are idealizing AMD!

Scott Allen was quoted today on WSJ saying that AMD will be competitive with Intel on PERFORMANCE.

I was told by AMD yesterday that they thought Athlon 700 would be good enough in PERFORMANCE with coppermine 733.

The message from AMD is PERFORMANCE, not MHZ.

These guys just cannot do it NOW!
