that's for sure, they can not rely on the upgrade cycle to the same extent as they have in the past...unless and until major new technological breakthroughs are achieved. but with INTC itself saying that Moore's law is hitting a brick wall, it'd have to be something radical.

don't be so sure about MRK and WLA...the politicians may well curtail their ability to raise prices, at least in the U.S.
health care costs are exploding anyway...
