The recent rumor that they will not meet this quarter's earnings estimate, even if true, would not affect my decision to buy Cisco in the near future. What it might influence is my cost basis. If it is true, Cisco will get hammered, much as they did last year in the 4th quarter, and I just buy more shares than I had envisioned. I was fortunate enough to buy on the big dip in October of '98, and was able to realize a 189% return in 10 months. Imo, Cisco is a long term keeper. Frank
