Wow, I sure got more than I bargained for. Thanks to everyone for giving me a lot to look at this weekend. I have a feeling that there will be a lot of $$ made in this sector in the coming months! Good luck to all!

Well, Richard, it looks to me like the house of cards has received its 'topknot' card today. The antiquated (I don't believe it of course) Glass-Stegal Act has finally been dismembered and the bones are about to be ground and feed to the masses.

I find it ab-so-LUTE-ly fascinating that no one on this thread has even referred to the White House/Congressional 3AM resolution on this matter on here today as best I can tell.

Don't the rest of the great unwashed on GPM even notice that Greenspan now has even tighter control over insurance industries' actuarial reserves as well as the brokerage segregated accounts' balance accounts in a more "hands on way that ever before??"

Restore my faith in your analytical ability, Richard, PULEEEEZE, and reassure me this Greenspan Power Grab didn't escape your notice today!!! PURDY PLEASE?

Ole sad to see Glass-Stegal go BUT just in time for y2k madness O/49r

fwiw, ol49r knows quite a bit about gold reclamation & mining while Ron's expertise does not appear to lie in these areas.

Ol 49r knows alot about conning people into paying $2,400 for a chance to reclaim and average 2 ounces of gold per trommel load. Average cost per ounce: $1200 (if they retreive that average of two ounces)

I know a lot about how people make con games look like a sweet-smelling lifetime opportunities.

Btw, have you noted Tom Byron's impressive TA work over on the Dutch Central Bank thread?

Should be a good month for the US markets and the US dollar, but a bad one for the XAU.
