jfd, re the softee trial...everyone hopes for settlement
but i can't see msft did more than talk real mean about
their competitors & strike aggresive deals with their
"distributors" (cpq, ibm, etc).they certainly provide
customers (computer buyers) with a great
deal/service. like you i think the deals their adversaries (aol, nscp,sunw) made during the trial make this an
easy decision for the judge..."landscape has changed".
hopefully softee pushes for outright victory.
then again, i wuz wrong re the simpson trial.
