Gary:

I will agree to disagree. In my view, most of your critique is what I lump into personal preference. The things that bug the heck out of you, don't bug me. There are other people at CNBC and elsewhere whose styles I do not care for or whose quirks grate like fingernails on a chalkboard: but they don't bother other people.

Other than the spectacle of having someone on the floor, which is a producer's decision, most of the substance of the floor reports could be and are frequently done just as well, if not better, in the studio. When something opens, what price it opens at, the current pre-opening range, and general market activity and sentiment are all reported just as well in the studio.

I repeat this because everything you have mentioned is about her performance on the floor and not her performance in the studio. In that context, the go to II comment is, in my view, a bit extreme.

Finally, there is a BIG difference between being interviewed and doing a live 90 second, largely impromptu, piece. I, too, have done both and the later is far more difficult. Being interviewed is a piece of cake.

Have a good weekend.

Troy

If she just said, "teleprompter my ass" one day and started ad libbing, I think it would warrant an Emmy.
