Gee, it's wrong for the company to pay for promotion with shares, but would it be wrong for one of the companies large shareholders to do it?

Can a shareholder pay for an IR firm to tout his favorite stock? I'd say no or we'd see more of it. Guys like Francoise with the cheap PP shares would be more than happy to kick in a few shares to get the stock pumped up so they can bail out.
I'd say Frisky is right, the contribution by shareholder probably wasn't cash, but ZSUN shares that were then given to promoters. No matter how it was done, the SEC will surely be interested.
