Investment ideas for next week:

1. After missing the buying opportunity Greenspan's speech and Intel's lousy report created, I didn't make the same mistake twice and loaded up on some old favorites when the market sold off early last week. Specifically, I re-entered the non-PC chip stocks: AMCC, CNXT, PMCS, RFMD, and QLGC. They promptly rebounded sharply Wednesday through Friday. However, a few didn't, and they are worth a look; I'm thinking specifically of VTSS and TXCC. Both are well off their recent highs. Also, although PMCS bounced from 78 to 88, it still has a lot of upside room.

2. Friday saw sharp one-day sell-off in some of the B-2-B favorites such as CMDX, ARBA, and CLIC. Another day or two of this, and these stocks look good to me, especially with CLIC nearing the end of its quiet period.

3. Finally, a few of the internet broadband/bandwidth favorites are well off their YTD highs: look at RBAK and CMTN. They may be worth accumulating sometime next week.
